Post-Proceedings of SimScience 2019 published

The post-proceedings of the Second Clausthal-Göttingen International Workshop on Simulation Science (SimScience 2019), held during May 8–10, 2019, in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, are now published in the LNCS satellite series CCIS (Communications in Computer and Information Science): link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-030-45718-1

The SimScience 2019 workshop brought together researchers from both industry and academia to present and discuss the latest advances in simulation science.

From 47 extended abstract submissions, 45 were selected for presentation at the workshop in Clausthal. In a second review round after the workshop, 12 full-length papers of a subset of submissions were accepted for the proceedings. All the selected full-length papers were peer reviewed by two external reviewers based on their qualifications and experience. The selected papers come from researchers from Germany, Indonesia, and the UK. The papers are organized according to the following topics: optimization and distributed simulations and simulation of materials (self-organized and porous structures; finite element and multiscale methods).
