The Simulation Science Center Clausthal-Göttingen offers its members various research infrastructures as central services. These services will be successively expanded and supplemented according to the respective research questions dealt with.

Joint research infrastructure

Computing cluster
The computing cluster consists of several nodes, each equipped with two CPUs and a large amount of RAM. After activation, the nodes are available for smaller research questions that do not require a designated HPC system.
VR Laboratory
In the VR laboratory, relationships between geometry and target variables such as turnover, heat transfer or pressure loss in process engineering issues are visualized and examined with the aid of CFD.
PC Pool
In the SWZ PC pool, 12 computers are available for use by students and for courses with simulation relevance. The PC pool in room 327 in building C9 is available from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
MMC-Demonstrator
With the Cobot, the SWZ has a demonstrator, illustrating a collaborative industrial disassembly process.
